Pelican is located on the northwest portion of Chichagof Island. There are no roads that lead to Pelican but you can travel here by boat or plane. Both Sitka and Juneau are used as primary access points when traveling to Pelican. Travel to Juneau or Sitka is available from Seattle and other points of origin via daily commercial jet service.
From Juneau or Sitka you can then fly on a float plane directly to Pelican.
From Juneau you also have the added option of taking the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry service which travels to Pelican. The Pelican schedule can be found on their website under schedules. Look for "Pelican sailings".
